Word of the Day, I'm a Cat

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 24, 2009, 4:25 AM
Shay's Place

Bren works as a welder. All day in the heat (108 heat index) So, in the meantime, to keep themselves sane in such heat, the boys in the shop and he joke and whatnot throughout the day. Many of them are hispanic and take time out of their day to teach him some of the language. BUT, when they are not truly teaching him, they also fug with him a bit.

Here are two examples- hopefully, they will be added to more blogs as the guys over there really try their best to make Bren laugh, especially with all Bren's going through.

Spanish word of the day: Wheelchair
Bren says, Ok...
"Well, I only got money for 1 bag of chips, but it's ok, wheelchair."

LOL

Spanish Word of the day: Chicken Wing
Brenn says, tell me...
"My family is low on money. But my mama, she plays the lottery. Maybe, just maybe, one day, chicken wing."

ROFL

But Bren does giggle, and gets them back, taunting them and such. They shake their fist at him, laughing, yelling, "Ok, papi, ok...you funny. But you say this joke, and I make you sleepy... "
(ROFL - knock you out)
They are great- and it's funny as hell.

It's quite bizarre the little things you do to make days go by, or to entertain yourself when simplicity is what you most need. Yesterday, I convinced my cats I was a cat. LOL It's easier sometimes for me to crawl around, as my back stays flexed and the movements are much more subtle. I noticed as I wa crawling to the kitchen to give my muscles abreak, the cats were folloing my every move. Of course, they always follow me anyway, watching over me- at least Ember does. Even if I so much as go pee. She will sit in the doorway, walk back to my pillow when he is done, and patiently wait for me to lie down. :) Well, as brilliant as she is in guarding me, she is equally bad at understanding I am indeed, NOT a cat.
Or....... maybe I am. ROFL

Brendan told me it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if I ended up with these muscle issues in my cooter.... ROFL Yeah, great.

I don't quite know what to write... there isn't much going on...new day, same things...
I've an appointment with my regular neurologist tomorrow morning. Hopefully he will talk to us about what the next step is, other than another brain MRI, and starting treatment. My Dr. from the Mayo Clinic said it may not hurt to find a geneticist as many diseases involving Chorea are genetic. He said, although I can think of no one in my family with any movement disorders, it doesn't mean that maybe one of my genes isn't defective. ROFL Shocking really... of course I'm defective. We have always known that. ROFL The movement is uncomfortable and I think it has begin in my shoulders. I always got the jerking there, but the ache is similar to that in my back. Hopefully, it won't spread. Maybe it's just from all the moving in general. No idea.
Well... this hasn't been fun. Guess i'll not even try to be now. I'm frustrated, I guess, overwhelmed a bit this morning... by silence, and this apartment. By the aggravation of putting off using the restroom to minimize the walking, by missing Vaan...only 3 weeks and she'll be back... and how three weeks feels like an eternity, as two have already passed...by all of it. My mom says I can call and vent to her. She's been good in supporting me... most in my life, actually. But burdening people with something that I cannot change today is just maddening. And I hate to do it. So... I'll sit.
Hope you all have a good week. Duggles, miss your hugglez and hope all is well with you. Chucklez, you too, hun!
